Melissa earned her certificate in massage therapy from Aveda Institute Minneapolis in 2004. She then graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s of Science-Kinesiology in 2016, then earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with UW-Milwaukee in 2020. Melissa is currently working on an Orthopedic Excellence Certification. 在2021年加入PCHC之前，她是一名按摩治疗师. 她对糖尿病预防特别感兴趣.

Melissa’s personal interests include crafting, beading and participating in pow wows as a dancer. Melissa grew up on the Lac du Flambeau Reservation and is also a Lac du Flambeau Tribal member.
